Aside from the service and hospitality industry, gyms received some of the worst profit and attrition losses since March 2020 when a majority of the nation began limiting business operations as a result of the pandemic. Particularly here in Michigan, gyms and restaurants were immediately shut down as increasing infection rates were spiraling out of control, with the fog of the pandemic sweeping across the nation, effectively diminishing businesses across the state and throughout the country.
Fast forward to 2021, vaccination rates are on the incline, and businesses have begun their routine pre-pandemic operations this spring with the objective of playing catch up from the previous year’s struggles.
James Gonzales, owner of WORK365 Fitness and Sports Training Facility is doing just that! Nestled off Orchard Lake Road in Sylvan Lake, Michigan, you’ll step into a gym that isn’t your ordinary local gym to get your pump on. James and his staff take pride in working with athletes to increase their athletic performance through specialized one-on-one personal training, diet plans, and a massive intake of motivation!
WORK365 is more than an athletic performance facility, James builds his brand through the ethos and acronym of the name itself.
W = Write a new chapter
O = Overcome obstacles
R = Revitalize the community
K = Keep it positive
365 days per year!
Before James started WORK365, he worked at the largest mortgage company in the world, working 16 hours per day, while trying to juggle his family life and mental and physical fitness. It’s no surprise that the meaning of WORK says true to the kind of work ethic James brings to his clients, and it shows throughout the community and the athletes he trains.
WORK365 is a great place for your everyday workout facility, but James and his team take enormous pride in working with athletes. Bouncing between being the strength and conditioning coach at a local high school, James has trained professionals from two-time Pro Bowler Matthew Judon of the Baltimore Ravens to Dallas Stars’, Jason Robertson, to various other NHL, MLB, NBA, and NFL players.
When the pandemic rushed through the country, James was immediately affected. Focusing on more in-home personal training sessions and a decreasing attrition rate, the WORK365 team was able to continue to provide athletes with the training they came to WORK365 for. A year later, the WORK365 team is booming in big ways and continues to be a positive member of the community through physical fitness, motivation, and discipline.
